About our company
Race KITS is a virtual entrepreneurial company based in the Engineering Entrepreneurs Program (EEP) at North Carolina State University. The business is entirely student run. The team consists of two Seniors who are the CEO and CTO of the company. Underclassmen join the virtual company as virtual employees, each with specific responsibilities to the project. Our company strives to bring cheap and reliable RFID technologies to race tracks for statistical reporting. Stay tuned for more!

The mission of Race KITS is to bring a flexible and expandable RFID based race statistics system to racing venues everywhere. The beauty of the Race KITS solution lies in its limitless potential. Due to the low cost of modern RFID components, the system remains expandable based only on your budget. This, along with the capability of the central control system to address many different transponders means that the Race KITS reporting system can grow right along side your track. The low maintenance of the system means you can devote valuable resources where they are important, rather than wasting time on more complex, less flexible reporting systems. The Race KITS system relies on passive RFID which means there are no batteries to replace on the vehicle transponders! Additionally, each transponder is light weight, compact, and has no moving parts. Simply attach the transponder to the vehicle and forget it! It couldn’t be easier.
